Each shift starts with the opening cash in the drawer, and from there the till keeps track of what should be in it.
Cash-up
At the end of the shift you count the cash in the drawer, type it in, and MZPoS tells you whether it balances, is short or is over. No spreadsheets, no sums by hand after closing.
Each shift starts with the opening cash in the drawer, and from there the till keeps track of what should be in it.
If you take cash out to pay a supplier or put change in, record it with a note. The cash-up takes it into account.
Count the drawer, type the total, and MZPoS closes the till against that figure and shows the difference from what was expected.
Mid-service or at a handover, the X report shows what has been taken so far and what should be in the drawer. It changes nothing.
The Z report closes the day against the counted cash; anything sold afterwards counts for tomorrow. It can be reprinted without anything changing.
Sales, sales without VAT, VAT, discounts and refunds; takings by payment method (cash, card, Bizum); takings per person and best sellers. Download it as CSV for your accountant.
Opening, counting and closing the till is on every plan. The X and Z report screen, with the detail by payment method and by person, is on Pro and Premium.
Who it is for
An X report is a reading: it shows how the till stands and changes nothing. A Z report is the close: it is taken after counting the drawer, and anything sold afterwards counts for the next day.
Yes. The close is saved on the device and sent when the connection returns, and the count is reconciled against what has arrived by then. Sales other devices have not sent yet are not in that count, so it is best to close when every device is connected.
It can be printed again. Reprinting changes no figure.
Till closing is on every plan; X and Z reports from Pro. MZPoS costs from €39.99 a month + VAT on the Basic plan; all prices are on the pricing page.
