QR table ordering: guests order and pay from their phone
Every table has its own QR code. Guests scan it, see the menu and order without waiting to be served; the order joins that table's bill and reaches the kitchen. At the end they can pay by card from the same phone.
Straight to the kitchen
The order reaches the kitchen linked to its table. Until the kitchen starts preparing it, the guest can change or cancel it. If your kitchen prints orders as they arrive, they can no longer be changed, but the guest can always order more.
Guests follow their order
The screen shows whether the order is waiting for the kitchen or ready to serve, with a sound alert if the guest turns it on.
The bill on the phone
Guests see their table's bill, including what the waiter entered at the till. With MZPay switched on, they pay it by card from the phone, even in parts; the server works out the amount, not the phone.
Your till issues the invoice
Paying from the phone issues no invoice. The table shows as paid at the till and your team closes it, issuing the receipt with VERI*FACTU like any other. Anything still owed is taken at the till: cash, card reader or Bizum.

Once the order is served, guests can tell you how it went from the same screen.

Frequently asked questions
Do guests have to download an app?
No. They scan the table's QR code with the phone camera and the menu opens in the browser.
Does it replace waiters?
No. Waiters keep taking orders at the till or on the waiter app, and everything goes to the same table bill. The QR code is another way to order for those who prefer it.
Can everyone pay their own share?
A table accepts several card payments from phones: each payment covers what had not been paid yet. The rest is taken at the till.
How much does it cost?
QR table ordering is on the Pro and Premium plans. MZPoS costs from €39.99 a month + VAT on the Basic plan; all prices are on the pricing page. Card payments through MZPay carry their own per-payment fee.
